Upcoming City of Boston Tenant Rights Workshop

For many renting in the Boston area, especially short-term renters, spring marks the start of lease renewals, securing summer sublets, and new apartment searches. For tenants, it is important to know both your rights and responsibilities throughout the entire rental process.

As part of their Housing Education Workshops, the City of Boston is holding a free Tenant Rights Workshop that will provide an overview of tenant rights and responsibilities before, during, and after a tenancy. The workshop will cover the following:

  • Deposits and fee
  • Housing conditions
  • The eviction process

The Workshop will take place at 11:00am on the following dates. You are encouraged to register here in advance.

  • February 28, 2019
  • March 21, 2019

The Workshop will be located at:

Department of Neighborhood Development
26 Court Street
Conference Room 1B
Boston, MA 02108

The Workshop can only offer legal information. If you would like legal advice or representation regarding a lease agreement, eviction, or any other housing matter, you can call the Boston Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral Service at 617-742-0625, connect with an area online 24/7 by clicking “Get Started” here, or by submitting an email request online today.
